Frequently asked questions

Do players need an account? +

No — guests join with just a PIN and a nickname. Logged-in WordPress users get extras like a saved nickname and a personal history of past plays.

How many players can join? +

There’s no fixed cap — it scales with your host. Classroom-sized rooms of 50–100 players run comfortably on entry-level shared hosting.

Can several teachers or staff run their own quizzes? +

Yes. Assign the Quizpio Quiz Author role and each author can create, edit, and host their own quizzes from the dashboard. Authors see only their own sessions, results, and CSV exports, and can delete the sessions they ran; administrators see everything across the site. Nothing to configure beyond assigning the role.

Does it need any external service? +

No. No Node, no WebSocket server, no third-party service — just WordPress with REST polling, so updates appear in about two seconds.

Will it work with my cache plugin? +

Yes. Quizpio sends no-store headers and cache-busts every poll, so it plays well with WP Rocket, LiteSpeed, W3 Total Cache and others.

What question types are supported? +

Multiple-choice (4 options) and true/false, each with its own time limit and point value. The true/false labels are editable, so you can run them in any language. Any question can also be switched to a poll — no points and no correct answer — for opinion checks and icebreakers mixed into the same game.

Can I export results? +

Yes — a full CSV per session with nicknames, ranks, scores, per-answer detail, the correct answers, points, and response times.
