About Quizpio
Quizpio is a WordPress plugin for running live, multiplayer quizzes, polls, and trivia — the kind where everyone joins with a PIN and races up a real-time leaderboard — right on your own website.
Why Quizpio exists
Live quiz games are one of the best ways to teach, train, and bring an audience together. But nearly every tool for it is a separate platform: you send your students or audience off to a third-party app, ask them to create accounts, and hand your data to someone else. Quizpio takes the opposite approach — it brings the whole experience into WordPress, so the site you already own becomes the game. No external service, no app for players to install, and nothing leaving your server.
What makes it different
- Self-hosted. Your quizzes and player results stay on your own WordPress site.
- No third-party service. It runs on plain WordPress — no Node, no WebSocket server, no external accounts.
- No barriers for players. They join with a PIN and a nickname from any device — no app, no signup.
- Built for WordPress. Quizzes are authored in the block editor via its dedicated post-type. You can also embed them into any post or page with a block.
