This Privacy Policy explains how Quizpio handles information collected through this website, quizpio.com (the “Site”). Quizpio is operated by Arafat Bin Sultan, a sole proprietor based in Bangladesh, who is the data controller for the information described here. In this policy, “we,” “us,” and “our” mean Arafat Bin Sultan. If you have any questions, email [email protected].

The Quizpio WordPress plugin is self-hosted. When it is installed on a website, any quiz and player data it processes is stored on that website’s own server and controlled by that site’s owner — not by us. This policy covers only the quizpio.com website.

1. Information we collect

  • Information you give us. When you join our waitlist or contact us, we collect your email address and any name or message you choose to provide.
  • Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our server records standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, to operate and secure the Site.
  • Analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see which pages are visited and how the Site performs. It sets no cookies, does not fingerprint your device, and does not track you across other websites.
  • Cookies. We use essential cookies needed for the Site to function and to keep it secure.

2. How we use your information

  • To add you to our waitlist and email you about Quizpio’s launch and updates.
  • To respond to your questions and requests.
  • To operate, secure, and improve the Site.

3. Legal bases (for visitors in the EU/UK)

  • Consent — for example, when you join the waitlist. You can withdraw it anytime by unsubscribing.
  • Legitimate interests — for example, keeping the Site secure and functioning, and understanding in aggregate how it is used.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers that help us run the Site, such as:

  • our email provider, Zoho Mail, to manage the waitlist and reply to you;
  • our web hosting provider, which stores the Site and its server logs;
  • our security plugin provider, Wordfence, which processes visitor IP addresses to detect and block malicious traffic;
  • Cloudflare, which routes and protects traffic to the Site, processes visitors’ IP addresses in doing so, and provides the cookie-free Web Analytics described above; and
  • when paid plans launch, a third-party payment provider, which will process payments under its own privacy terms. We do not sell paid plans or process payments at present, and we will name that provider here before any purchase is possible.

5. Data retention

We keep waitlist emails until you unsubscribe or until we close the waitlist, whichever comes first. We keep contact messages for as long as needed to handle your request, and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you follow up. Server logs are kept only as long as our hosting and security providers retain them.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, or to object to or restrict its use. To exercise any of these, email [email protected]. You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link in each message. If you believe we have handled your data improperly, you also have the right to complain to the data protection authority in your country.

7. International transfers

We are based in Bangladesh, and the service providers we use may store or process data in other countries, including the United States. This means that if you are in the EU or UK, your information may be transferred outside your country. Where that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards for the transfer.

8. Children

The Site is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

The Quizpio plugin may be used in classrooms and other settings involving under-16s. As explained above, any player data the plugin processes stays on the site owner’s own server under their control — we never receive it, and the site owner is responsible for how it is handled.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time; the “last updated” date above will change. Continued use of the Site means you accept the current version.
