Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1 September 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Quizpio handles information collected through this website, quizpio.com (the “Site”), and through the Quizpio Pro plugin’s licensing. Quizpio is operated by Arafat Bin Sultan, a sole proprietor based in Bangladesh, who is the data controller for the information described here. In this policy, “we,” “us,” and “our” mean Arafat Bin Sultan. If you have any questions, email [email protected].
The Quizpio plugin is self-hosted. When it is installed on a website, any quiz and player data it processes is stored on that website’s own server and controlled by that site’s owner — not by us. We never receive quiz content, player names, scores, or session data.
The one exception is licence activation in Quizpio Pro, described in section 2 below.
1. Information we collect
- Information you give us. When you contact us or sign up for updates, we collect your email address and any name or message you choose to provide.
- Purchase information. When you buy a paid plan, our merchant of record Polar Software, Inc. handles the payment and passes us your email address and order details so we can support your licence. We never see or store your card details.
- Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our server records standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, to operate and secure the Site.
- Analytics. We use two analytics services. Cloudflare Web Analytics shows us which pages are visited and how the Site performs; it sets no cookies, does not fingerprint your device, and does not track you across other websites. Google Analytics, provided by Google LLC, gives us a more detailed picture of how the Site is used; it sets cookies when you arrive and processes your IP address and usage data. Section 1a explains how to stop it.
- Cookies. We use essential cookies needed for the Site to function and to keep it secure. We also use analytics cookies set by Google Analytics, which are not essential to the Site working. These are set when you visit, and our cookie notice tells you so rather than asking first. Section 1a explains how to opt out.
1a. Opting out of Google Analytics
Google Analytics currently begins measuring when you arrive, rather than waiting for you to agree. If you would rather it did not, you can stop it in any of these ways.
- Install Google’s official Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, which stops Google Analytics on every site you visit.
- Block or delete cookies for this site in your browser settings.
- Use your browser’s private or incognito mode, or a content blocker.
Opting out does not affect anything else on the Site, and Cloudflare Web Analytics will continue to count your visit without cookies either way.
2. Licence activation in Quizpio Pro
Quizpio Pro is licensed per site, so it needs to check that a licence key is valid and count how many sites are using it. When you activate, re-check, or deactivate a licence, the plugin sends your licence key and your site’s domain name to Polar, which issues and manages the keys on our behalf. It does this when you use the License screen, and at most once a day in the background while that screen is open.
Your site’s domain is recorded so that you can see which sites are using your licence, and free one up when you move to a different site. Nothing else leaves your server — no quiz content, no player data, no visitor information. The free Quizpio plugin has no licensing and sends nothing anywhere.
The analytics described in section 1 apply to this website only. Neither the free plugin nor Quizpio Pro contains any analytics or tracking code, and nothing is measured on the sites where they are installed.
3. How we use your information
We use the information described above for the following purposes.
- To deliver and support the paid plan you bought, including issuing and validating licence keys.
- To email you about your purchase, renewals, and product updates.
- To respond to your questions and requests.
- To operate, secure, and improve the Site, including understanding how it is used.
4. Legal bases (for visitors in the EU/UK)
- Performance of a contract. We process your purchase, issue your licence key, and validate it while your plan is active.
- Consent. For example, when you sign up for product updates. You can withdraw it at any time by unsubscribing.
- Legitimate interests. For example, keeping the Site secure and functioning, understanding how it is used, and preventing licence misuse. You can stop the Google Analytics measurement at any time using the methods in section 1a.
5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers that help us run the Site and deliver our products.
- Polar Software, Inc., our merchant of record, processes payments, issues invoices, handles sales tax and VAT, and manages licence keys and activations under its own privacy terms.
- Zoho Mail, our email provider, sends product emails and carries our replies to you.
- Our web hosting provider stores the Site and its server logs.
- Wordfence, our security plugin provider, processes visitor IP addresses to detect and block malicious traffic.
- Cloudflare routes and protects traffic to the Site, processes visitors’ IP addresses in doing so, and provides the cookie-free Web Analytics described above.
- Google LLC provides Google Analytics, and processes your IP address, device information, and how you use the Site in order to produce the reports we see, under its own privacy terms.
6. Data retention
We keep order and licence records for as long as your plan is active, and afterwards for as long as we need them for accounting, tax, and dispute-resolution purposes. We keep mailing-list emails until you unsubscribe. We keep contact messages for as long as needed to handle your request, and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you follow up. Server logs are kept only as long as our hosting and security providers retain them. Google Analytics data is held by Google for the retention period set on our account, after which it is deleted on Google’s schedule rather than ours.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, or to object to or restrict its use. To exercise any of these, email [email protected]. You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link in each message, and opt out of Google Analytics at any time using the methods in section 1a. Note that we cannot delete records we are required to keep for tax or accounting reasons, or that Polar holds as the seller of record for your purchase. If you believe we have handled your data improperly, you also have the right to complain to the data protection authority in your country.
8. International transfers
We are based in Bangladesh, and the service providers we use — including Google — may store or process data in other countries, including the United States. This means that if you are in the EU or UK, your information may be transferred outside your country. Where that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards for the transfer.
9. Children
The Site is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
The Quizpio plugin may be used in classrooms and other settings involving under-16s. As explained above, any player data the plugin processes stays on the site owner’s own server under their control — we never receive it, and the site owner is responsible for how it is handled.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time; the “last updated” date above will change. Continued use of the Site means you accept the current version.
